4. Show commitment to and perseverance in, cas experiences
5. Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

Motivation: My motivation in making a animated video for raising awareness for deforestation is because I really enjoy making animation. Especially since I had previous classes for 2D animation I wanted to see if I can be able to make my own animation with my friends. Im also planning to learn more about this in the future, and maybe take it for university. We decided we wanted to do a video on deforestation as we thought that it would fit as where we stayed, in Indonesia, is currently experiencing major problems with deforestation and additionally I had previously done a lot of research on deforestation in other IB works such as my EE.

On the 16th we decided to brainstorm what will be the information presented in the video and collect the sources required. We concluded that we wanted to talk about the rate of deforestation and comparing them with other countries, which we will then connect it with how it affects the people and how we can help prevent the negative outcomes. Once we know what will be the general idea in the video, we decided to search for sources. Sources includes sources online and even from a member from UNDP, Alice Budisatrijo, who helped us in finding the right sources. This brainstorm session really helped us map out our idea for the video and showed that we were able to work effectively in a group.

Here, me, George and Matthew decided to create a story board. Me, George, and Matthew wrote what will be the story and what are the information that will be included, while Matthew will draw out the main story board. I initially had some difficulties in coming up with ideas for our video, having writer's block at times, though after some persistence we were able to come up with every scene and the final story board went really well and we were proud on the final product.
26 May 2018
On the 26th of May I decided to start doing my part of the animation, the story boards were equally distributed between us to animate. This day I mainly focused on drawing the actual frames and wold continue drawing the animation the later day. I enjoyed making the drawings as it was the best part in animating for me as I can just draw what I wanted, but still following the story board. However I did not enjoy it as much as I was getting frustrated by a problem with my graphic tablet and my soft ware, which resulted me unable to make small strokes. This lead to some of my frames to be looked rushed and not as well as I originally want them to be like. However I was still able to do most of the frames, with only 2 left to go.

The next day I decided to continue the last 2 scenes and do the animations. Since I was running low in time I had to speed up my process when I did the animation, therefore the animation that were resulted were not as perfect as I originally intended. However from this I learned that I should not underestimate the amount of work it would take and show manage my time better next time. Despite this I was able to finish the animation and let George edit and compile the video
28 May 2018
The next day me and Matthew gave our animated scenes to George where he will edit and compile them into a video. Me and Matthew watched over as he edited the video and gave directions and opinions in what to do. George also added his narration to the video, and once we were finished making the video we have the final product.
Once finished we were glad and were satisfied with the finished product, though we originally had a different idea on the animation we still thought it was good and ready for release.

Final Reflection
From doing this animation I learnt a lot in the process. I learnt that I should start my work earlier no matter how dawning it may seem, so I would have a lighter load in the future. I also learnt that working as a team can result to a better result with all our different skills concentrated in different aspects of the video to have a better finished product. Working as a team can also motivated my self to strive for better as there are other people relying on me and so it adds a sense of urgency which helped me finished my part faster.
